The State Ecological Inspection of Ukraine warns citizens
that current environmental legislation prohibits the burning of fallen leaves,
plant residues.
The responsibility for burning sturgeon, pastures,
vegetation or its remains and fallen leaves on agricultural land, along roads
and railways, in parks, other green plantations and lawns in settlements is
provided for in Article 77-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses
and ranges from 170 to 340 hryvnia for citizens and from 850 to 1190 hryvnia
for officials.
In addition, grass burning is harmful to health. During
combustion, carbon monoxide is released, which has a negative effect on the
human body, as a result of smoke, respiratory diseases and allegoric reactions
can develop!
The State Inspection calls for being responsible and not
harming the natural environment and their own health
